| There was a meeting held to outline the content of the upcoming Telecommunication/Networking Workshop sponsored by the AITP and the Pontikes Center for the Management of Information. The main instructor of the workshop, Curt Wilson (LAN Administrator of PSO at SIU), discussed the topics and information that students can expect to see during the course of the 6 week (18 hour) workshop. For those individuals who were unable to make it to the information, there are PowerPoint slides to outline the main ideas discussed. Remember the workshop is only open to the first 20 students, so don't delay in signing up! | |

| State Farm Insurance brought 3 recruiters to the ASA building to speak with members from both AITP and FITE. They discussed the benefits of working with their company and the many possible opportunities for interships/externships during this coming Summer. | |

| There will be an officer's meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in the Pontikes Center for the Management of Information. Items to discuss will include the plans for the upcoming AITP sponsored workshop, details on the next club meeting, conference plans, field trips, guest speakers and possible fund raisers. | |

| There was an excellent turnout tonight at the first AITP club meeting. We would like to thank everyone who came to the meeting. The officers have been working very hard this semester to organize a successful 2003-2004 campaign. The new 2003-2004 officers have met twice now to discuss the possible activities that we might be willing to be part of in the 2003-2004 school year.
